Biography

Born in Libby, Montana, U.S. in 1997 artist Devin LaCoss currently works from Missoula, Montana, U.S. He was interested artistically from  a young age, as well as gifted. The arts would eventually become his purpose. He began exhibiting on a monthly basis in the summer of  2023 for the First Friday Exhibition at Fight or Flight Exhibition Space in Missoula, Montana U.S., continuing to the present day. His selected collections feature in various national private collections.

Creating visual fine art, LaCoss pursues realism, surrealism, abstraction, and impressionism in his work. Alcohol marker on paper being his choice of medium. He is best known for his works combining surrealistic environments with the use of visual allegory to examine humanity and nature. Adhering to realism his subject matter consists mainly of objects from the natural world. Nature has been a primary influence on LaCoss throughout his career. Notably, this is evidenced in his Macro series from 2023. While the works War on Drugs 2022, and River of Iron 2024 are both showcases of his performed examinations of humanity and nature discussed earlier within the paragraph.
